This powerful documentary explores the impact of misinformation, media narratives, and the real-life consequences for transgender people and their families. Whether you’re looking to learn, listen, or better understand today’s conversations, this is an important opportunity to engage with an impactful film and community discussion.

When misinformation about transgender people is widespread and many in the community face discrimination, hostility, and harmful rhetoric, hearing real stories matters. We encourage you to bring a friend, family member, coworker, or someone you know—especially someone who may have questions or has only heard one side of the conversation. Together, we can replace misinformation with understanding and stand alongside our transgender neighbors in affirming their dignity, humanity, and worth. 

Personal stories have the power to change hearts and minds. If you know someone who has never had the opportunity to hear directly about the lived experiences of transgender people and their families, this screening offers a chance to build understanding through empathy, respect, and meaningful conversation.

Then on your phone: open the Google Calendar app, go to Settings, find Platte County Dems under your account, and switch it on. Subscribed calendars stay hidden on phones until you do. Google also checks for new events about once a day, so a brand-new event can take up to 24 hours to appear.

  1. Open Outlook on the web and click Add calendar
  2. Choose Subscribe from web
  3. Paste the address above, give it a name, and click Import

Like Google, Outlook refreshes on its own schedule rather than instantly.
